Gatherings

Bigger. Bolder. But Always Together.

A chance for Americans to come together across the one thing we all love: Food.

We’ll join our neighbors and community members at tables, on picnic blankets, before our favorite sporting events—or even at the bar—to talk and learn more about each other. Everyone’s invited as we gather to find ways to make our country better. Because even when we believe different things, most Americans want to find solutions across our differences.

Whether you decide to host a small group or join a local gathering, you’ll get to have meaningful conversations, find shared values, and celebrate things we didn’t even know we had in common.

The Love Anyway Feasts are our OG gatherings. A place where people bring their favorite foods to share with neighbors (or strangers) to talk about who they are, what they value, and how much they have in common with each other. These gatherings are especially powerful for our faith leaders leaning into traditions around loving those who are different from you.

Promote belonging in your community through our United Plates Project programming. These community-based events can happen in the park, at the rec center, in your home, or anywhere else you could think to gather. Grab a pizza or cook up your favorite casserole. There’s no one way to do it. The most important thing is to bring an open mind and be ready to ask “why?”

Our student programming brings college students together to talk about the things that are important to them. You’ll learn about how the people at the desk next to you or living in the dorm down the hall see the world, and take some time to share your ideas with them. You’ll likely find that you have more in common than just your school colors.

Raise a glass (or two) with your community. This adult-only events offer an opportunity to connect in a place folks might already be heading, and save on the set-up and clean-up. Community & Cocktails is also a great opportunity to support a local charity with proceeds from an afterwork happy hour.
