FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: COMMISSIONE GIOVANI-USA 2011 MIAMI CONFERENCE - UNITING ITALIAN AND ITALIAN-AMERICAN YOUTH Miami, FL March 4-5, 2011- As 2011 marks the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, many Italian-Americans will reflect upon the country of their ancestors. They will join together to celebrate the common thread and passion that binds Italian-American communities throughout the US. In the spirit of unification and celebrating the Italian way of life, Commissione GiovaniUSA (CG-USA) will hold its national conference at Societa' Dante Alighieri, Miami’s Italian cultural and language center. A national organization funded by donations, CG-USA is dedicated to unifying and strengthening the young Italian/Italian-American community by promoting the Italian language and culture. As a resource, CG-USA highlights Italy’s current contributions to the world among Italian & Italian-American youth and celebrates achievements of Italians living in the USA. CGUSA is responsible for the coordination of communication amongst the 11 official national branches and CG-USA affiliates. The goal of the conference is to unite the voices of the ItalianAmerican and Italian youth (ages 18-35) living in the United States as well as to provide a forum for their ideas and actions. CG-USA’s vision is to continue making positive contributions to the community. CG-USA will carry the theme of unity and celebrate the milestone throughout the conference. Strengthening the bond amongst the youth and furthering CG-USA’s work through events and meetings, the conference will bring together some of the USA’s most passionate and dedicated youth.
